March 3 (Tuesday)
This year, we’ll make many lovely memories with HaRin. Please take good care 🤍

Tomorrow after 10 AM drop-off we’ll practice briefly parting with mom and meeting again at 11 🥰 Please hug her tightly saying “Our HaRin can do it!” 😊

March 5 (Thursday)
Looking at a friend’s face she even briefly stopped crying 🥰 It seems HaRin starts adapting through these very small attempts 😁 Today rather than play, it was a day she accomplished the big task of ‘being in the classroom without mom’.
This alone is a day deserving of plenty of praise, right? 💛
At home please give her a sense of security saying “Mom came back to pick you up, right? Teacher will wait again tomorrow.” 😊

HaRin’s adaptation to the new daycare isn’t easy
because time to talk about HaRin is short, I wrote what I could share more, hoping it might help in soothing HaRin 😢
I know you’re busy but I’d appreciate if you could refer to it ☺️ Last March from 9 months old HaRin attended a home daycare
with a total of four girls for a year.
Because I was working she spent long hours from 8 to 5 at daycare — she adapted well early and followed the teachers very well. Maybe because she adapted at too early a time, adapting to a new place now is more difficult.
Plus it’s also a time when she really wants to do things her own way 🥹
In January my childbirth came suddenly earlier and I couldn’t explain anything to HaRin before leaving her at daycare and then being hospitalized — I was away from home for three weeks 😭
Of course she knows mom is back now, but she’s increasingly aware of the new sibling’s existence — when the sibling cries and I go she cries along. So there’s also that aspect of crying more and not wanting to separate. Teacher must be having a hard time too 😢 At home we keep talking positively about daycare a lot.
HaRin gets excited when she hears songs —
she especially loves Baby Shark, the Freeze Dance song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Three Bears songs. So yesterday at the puppet show maybe because all her favorites came out she even danced haha
For play at daycare she especially loved scribbling on paper with pens or crayons, the slide, and the rocking horse.
She also loves saying animal names — she’s started copying speech lately haha
Basic expressions she does well: this / me too / bap (mam-ma, kka-kka) / Khya (when wanting water) / jjo-jjong (pacifier)
What she likes: peek-a-boo, hiding objects (“Where did it go? Here it is!”) about that level.
It’s reassuring that HaRin met a good homeroom teacher this year. Please take good care once again 🫶

Thank you so much for sharing this precious story. Reading the story about HaRin my heart also felt touched and pained. I thought how worried and sad your heart must have been sending her to daycare. I think there’s a part where HaRin is still unfamiliar with the new environment, with me, and with Eunpung. We’ll help her adapt slowly and comfortably matching HaRin’s pace ^^ As much as you send her trusting us, we’ll hug her plenty, read her heart, and care for her with love so she can be happy at daycare. Going forward, please continue your support and encouragement so HaRin can have a joyful and comfortable daycare life. Thank you ^^
March 6 (Friday)
Walking slowly around the classroom looking at various playthings, she showed interest. Looking at the family photo she cried saying “Mom ~” and watched friends playing in the classroom for a while and cried expressing longing for mom, while also
showing a form of walking around the classroom by herself looking at various playthings.
I could feel she became much more comfortable in one day. She seems to be gradually adapting to the classroom atmosphere.
If she rests well over the weekend and has a joyful time with family, on Monday we’ll be able to meet in the classroom with a more comfortable heart.
